Everybody is a Cubs fan today. Even the die-hard White Sox rivals cannot help but be excited about the way this team has played all year. The last game was a nail-biter because their opponents, the Cleveland Indians were just as hungry but in the end the Cubbies did it!
Is there a life lesson in this? Why not? Seeing how the team grew and the confidence the players had in each other and in themselves is inspiring. The lesson is that when you have a vision, a set purpose for your life, your family, your community, that vision can be realized. The key is not allowing the distractions of this life that can come from so many places like your spouse, your children, your finances, politics, anything – to get you off course. If you can believe that you can win, you can and you do!
The joy I have in working with individuals, families and couples is the belief that there is always hope. Hope. My hope is there for my clients even when they cannot see it. It is through listening and asking the right questions that the individuals, couples, and family members see how they can change for the better and get to HOPE again.
